Iran fires ballistic missiles at US bases across the Middle East as US and Saudi forces strike Iraq

Iran's Revolutionary Guards launched multiple ballistic missiles targeting US forces stationed in the region, all intercepted according to US Central Command — with five interceptions reported over Jordan alone. Simultaneously, the United States and Saudi Arabia conducted joint strikes inside Iraq. Oil surged nearly four per cent as Brent hit $87.39 a barrel. Muslim-majority states now sit on every side of this escalation: as combatants, as hosts of foreign bases, and as the territory over which missiles fly.
